Southdown is a leading provider of specialist housing related support services across Sussex. We continue to expand the services we provide and will always consider applications from people who are keen to develop their careers with Southdown. Our current vacancies: 

Support Worker - Seaford - up to 37 hours per week - Ref: SWSDR 

We have an exciting opportunity to join this established service which supports 7 service users with learning and physical disabilities. You will be part of a committed team that provides support to and advocates on behalf of people with learning and physical disabilities and complex needs.

Duties will include actively supporting service users at home and in the community. You should be able to support service users in Hydrotherapy and comminity based activities. Residents also need support with personal care in a way that respects their dignity at all times.

This post involves shift work (which may start at 7am or finish at 11pm) and includes sleep-in duties. Extensive induction training will provide you with the skills you need to undertake this work.

Bank / Relief Workers - Ref : RSWi

Working across Sussex - particularly Crawley, Horsham, Chichester, Pagham, Midhurst and Storrington.

This role provides cover in services when permanent Support Workers are on leave, off sick or on training courses. Your role will  be assisting with the provision of support and care services to  people who have learning disabilities and sometimes physical disabilities within their own home. You will support service users to continue to develop skills and confidence in all aspects of daily life. We are looking for people to join our relief register that are completely committed to promoting the choice and independence of our service users. This role is ideal for people who would like to work flexible hours.

Locations: East and West Sussex / Brighton and Hove
