Southdowners' DVD
This is a film made by ‘Southdowners’ – a group of people with a learning disability who live in Southdown Housing Association flats and houses. In the film they talk about what they want from the staff who support them, and what is important to them.
This powerful film can be used as part of the induction of new staff in a variety of settings, or to show students on care courses.
Inside the cover we have provided information about the group and the way it runs, including successful ways of finding out what people with a learning disability want. This could help you find out what the people you support want from you.

Hiring our venue
Our recently refurbished and well-equipped training room in Lewes is available to hire for meetings and events in the day or evenings. The room is on the ground floor, has its own fully accessible separate entrance and can easily accommodate up to 45 people theatre style for presentations. It has a digital projector, interactive white board, flipchart, hearing loop and has access to an adjoining kitchen (complete with hot water, fridge and crockery) and disabled toilet.
