Preston Park Writers
The literary talents of people who attend Preston Park Resource Centre in Brighton are highlighted in a newly published book, ‘Creative Writing’.
The book grew out of Preston Park Centre’s creative writing group which runs under the guidance of published poet and experienced tutor Eileen Palmer. Professionally printed, ‘Creative Writing’ offers a chance to glimpse the work that goes on at a mental health day centre – and uncovers a handful of talented new authors.“We’re extremely proud of the work our members have created,” said centre manager Susanne Pospisil-Cooper. “Their book takes the reader through ten creative writing sessions and features both poetry and prose which is insightful, thought-provoking and high quality. We hope ‘Creative Writing’ will get the good sales it deserves, especially as profits will go towards funding a new centre minibus.” |

L is for love, giving and sharing
Ecstacy in all things new
In the light of the day I’m always caring, and looking out for you.
Always with respect, rarely feeling blue.
F is for fun in all that I do
Running and jumping, going crazy
And going with the tide of life
Not holding back and being lazy.
Crisis comes, but we still cope,
Insecurity - replaced with hope
Sometimes we need to grab life by the throat.
