Tenant Creativity

Southdown provides many opportunities for tenants and service users to highlight their creative talents.

• Three tenants with learning disabilities are members of the dynamic punk band Heavy Load.
• Members of Preston Park Resource Centre’s creative writing group have published a book of their work.
• Stories, articles, artwork and photographs by tenants are published in Southdown’s quarterly magazine, SHAring. Six tenants are part of the magazine’s editorial panel.
• Southdown has held two successful art exhibitions, displaying tenants’ work, which were visited by the public and an internationally acclaimed artist.
