Cash Plan Benefit for all permanent staff which is designed
to offset the cost of more frequent, regular, every-day health

CHILD CARE VOUCHERS
By joining the scheme, Southdown staff can agree to replace part of their total remuneration package with childcare vouchers. These vouchers are exempt from income tax and NI contributions and therefore represent a saving for most staff who use them to purchase childcare.
DISCOUNTS
For on-line shopping, staff and their families can make use of a retail discount scheme - with exclusive discounts at many of the best UK major quality retailers (such as Currys, PC World, CD Wow, John Lewis). It is quick and simple to use and can be accessed from work or home.
MATERNITY AND PATERNITY LEAVE
All permanent female staff receive up to 52 weeks maternity leave, with time off for ante-natal appointments.
All staff whose partners have a baby are entitled to paternity leave plus three days birth support leave on full pay.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
Southdown’s occupational health service is an independent, confidential health service. It is delivered by a team of health professionals who specialize in occupational medicine, the branch of medicine that deals with the relationship between work and your health.
Its aims are to :
- Enable the rehabilitation of employees returning to work following ill health.
- Assist employees to achieve good health by providing health advice and support.
- Prevent employees from becoming ill as a result of the work they do.
PENSION SCHEME
Southdown Housing Association offers an optional benefits package to employees. This comprises :
-
A pension arrangement that you can join on starting your employment and to which Southdown Housing Association will contribute.
-
A non-contributory life assurance scheme available on joining the pension scheme.
