Support Worker

We have exciting opportunities at a new service in Worthing due to open in autumn 2008. We are recruiting to a new team to work in this newly refurbished shared supported living service.

This service has been designed to meet the new ‘In Control’ agenda and will meet the needs of six tenants with a learning disability. This provides an opportunity for service users who value their independence but also need a degree of 24 hour support. Tenants then choose how and when they want their support to be provided.

You will support tenants to maintain their tenancies by implementing personal support plans, risk policies, behaviour management strategies, providing support in domestic routines, administering prescribed medication and assisting tenants with their finances.

Please state on your application how many hours you wish to be considered for.

Relief Work  -  we also have opportunities for people who want to work flexible hours.  Shifts cover leave and sickness.  Full training and induction is provided.  Contact us for further details

If you are shortlisted for an interview, we will aim to contact you again within 1 week of the closing date. If you have not heard from us by the interview date, please assume that your application has not been successful on this occasion.

Please use the application forms available on this website. However, if you prefer us to send you an application form please ring our recruitment line (24 hours) 01273 405838 stating your name, address and quote the job reference shown above. Alternatively you can request an application pack by sending e-mail to recruitment@southdownhousing.org stating the above information. Back to top
