What we do

Breakaway offers a free and confidential one-to-one service which matches people with disabilities to jobs. We offer different levels and types of support to match individuals’ needs and provide on-going support once a job has been found.

Our work, which is based on a model of supported employment which has been developed and refined over the last 30 years, promotes choice and diversity in the workplace. It also helps to encourage social inclusion and regeneration in local communities.

Breakaway has supported more than 135 people into work during the last twelve months. The Learning Disability Team in West Sussex supported more than 100 of these clients and the New Deal Team, which support people with a wider range of disabilities, supported a further 33 people.
