Southdown’s specialist Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) support service is for high risk victims of ASB (including hate motivated incidents) in East Sussex.
Michelle Saville is the Project Coordinator for the service and is responsible for the entire support process from receiving referrals through to working with the individual to develop an action plan with the individual to address their needs and representing their views at multi-agency ASB meetings.
Anyone experiencing an ASB or hate incident should initially report this to Sussex Police and local District and Borough councils directly by phone, email or in person. Specific questions will be asked to assess the individual’s vulnerability, whether a similar incident has happened before, their health and wellbeing and what support network they have in order to offer appropriate support. For those who require intensive support, a referral will be made to Southdown’s specialist support service. Victim’s identified as being at standard or medium risk will be offered relevant support by the agency to the incident was reported to and referred onto any other organisations that could provide appropriate support.
Referring agencies should contact the Project Co-ordinator - contact details below.
Self referrals can be initiated by text, email or phoning the service but are intended for victims who are not in contact with any statutory or community agency.
The service will operate flexibly across East Sussex, meeting clients in their homes and communities Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 7.00pm (with Saturday support by prior arrangement), and referrals will be responded to within one working day.
