We are keen to measure our performance against the best of private, public and not-for-profit organisations both in terms of business good practice and also service delivery in our sectors. Southdown is an active member of various trade bodies, strategy groups and best practice promotion partnerships. We are a reflective organisation that is keen to develop and share and learn from other organisations. We choose to benchmark ourselves against national standards and continually strive for excellence.
Business Continuity
Southdown recognises the importance of ensuring the continuity of our business despite the many and varied setbacks we could encounter. We ensure we maintain a thorough analysis of the potential risks to key operations that may occur through disaster, external threats and the risks integral to our operations. We have detailed business plans, plus risk mitigation and disaster recovery plans in place to ensure the viability of the organisation.
Quality Management System
All members of staff, volunteers and the Board have a role to play in ensuring that the services we provide to tenants. service users and staff are of a good quality.
The Quality Management System is made up of many policies and procedures and these describe specific roles and responsibilities.
The Executive Team are responsible for ensuring that all policies, procedures and standards are monitored, updated and disseminated.
By reviewing all these areas the team is able to monitor standards across the organisation, to ensure remedies are put in place and to resolve any gaps in service. The review process also contributes to our commitment to continual improvement.
The Board has overall responsibility for good governance and ensuring that Southdown meets all regulatory and legal requirements.
The Quality and Operations Committee has particular responsibility for receiving reports and reviewing activity around quality.
